Greetings concert lovers! Tahoe City's popular Concerts at Commons Beach are back for summer 2021! Come enjoy free live music every Sunday afternoon with your family and friend, lakeside at one of the most spectacular concert venues around - Tahoe City's Commons Beach. Festive atmosphere, vendors, food & drink...bring a blanket, low-back chair, a picnic, or enjoy food and drink on site to support the concerts! All shows start at 4pm and end at 7pm.  Here's the 2021 Lineup...

Tahoe City Solstice Festival Returns June 12-20

TAHOE CITY, Calif. (May 25, 2021) - Long standing local events are finally scheduled to return to Tahoe City, California this summer, signaling a return to “normal” for visitors and locals alike. The Tahoe City Downtown Association announced today that the 15th Annual Tahoe City Solstice Festival, an event that celebrates the start of the summer season at Lake Tahoe, will return this year.

Jake's On the Lake  is known for it's lakefront dining and incredible sunset views. It is also the location of one of Tahoetopia's longest-running webcams.  This Tahoe Time Lapse was captured innocently enough on a quiet Sunday in May (May 23, 2021 to be exact) and delivers a dynamic view of the day's meteorlogical phenomena, capped off with a short, sweet Sierra sunset.  Enjoy!

Tahoe City, CA -  On Thursday, November 19th, Alpenglow Sports is pleased to welcome local guide Dave Nettle as the first speaker of the 15th annual VIRTUAL Winter Speaker Series, presented by Peak Design. Established in 2006, the Alpenglow Sports Winter Speaker Series is a free event designed to motivate, inspire and educate. Traditionally held at Palisades Tahoe’s Olympic Village Lodge, the Winter Speaker Series is a five-part series that showcases one show per month from November through February.

Help Keep Tahoe Bears Wild! Agencies encourage use of bear resistant canisters

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. – As a reminder, backcountry visitors should practice proper food and garbage storage and behave appropriately when hiking and backpacking in Bear Country. This summer, wilderness rangers report bears are successfully taking down food-hangs in Desolation Wilderness. Once bears become habituated to human food and garbage they will return and seek it out. Agencies highly recommend using bear resistant canisters when visiting the backcountry.
